Yarns
100% or 80/20% wool/nylon blend is used in the manufacturing of our carpets. The wool/nylon blend has been determined as the most economical and practical for contractual installation. This blend combines the softness, comfort and warmth of wool with the durability properties of nylon. The nylon also plays a key factor in preventing the yarn from shedding.

As for the 100% wool, it offers all the characteristics mentioned above, with the added benefit of softer and lustrous quality, and is best suited for home interiors, executive suites, and mid/ low foot-traffic areas.
Backing
Primary Tufting Cloth - Polypropylene woven type.
Secondary cloth - unique woven cloth to suite our need for safety and durability. If offers a strong and smooth finish and avoids rotting when in contact with water.
Latex
We mix our own latex. We have a variety of recipes that offers unique qualities to cater for our customers' different needs. If a rug is going to be placed on tiles, a non-slip compound is used.
Pile Height / Thickness
Our standard height is 20mm thick, but we are capable of adjusting our height from between 9mm - 45mm.
Standard 20mm thickness
121 - 141 stitches p/sq/inch.
Yarn weight 4100g - 4400grams p/sq/m.
Gross weight - 5200 - 5400grams p/sq/m.
The density can also be modified to accommodate clients' requirements.
Independent Safety Testing
Our product has been through flame retardancy testing according to SBS 1423 part 1 - 1987 (reaffirmed and re-issued in 1995), our carpets were successful in all categories with a 20 second flame exposure. (Tested by Ciba, SA).
Quality Assurance
Being a family concern, with a product that displays our name, we are personally involved in the quality control. We have our own dye-house facilities
that use only the best quality colourfast Swiss dyestuffs, to produce a large variety of colours, (over 1600 colour shades). This also allows us to
match up any colour, from upholstery samples or curtain fabrics, or any other shade reference given.
